Students at Machananao Elementary School created a human flag this morning to commemorate the thousands of people who died during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.Robb Malay, school principal, said the ceremony included a flag-raising ceremony made possible with equipment donation from Morrico.
The school's flag had been broken for the last three years. Malay said it was important for the children to know and understand the events and be aware of how they are shaping the nation and the region.
